The 8th Los Angeles Hungarian Film Festival, which is part of the series, will start on October 15, with a screening of Kornél Mundruczó's new film Delta, said Hungarian consul in Los Angeles Balázs Bokor. A dozen more films will be on the programme.

 
The Los Angeles County Arts Museum will present screenings of films by the Hungarian director Miklós Jancsó.
 
Márta Sebestyén, the diva of Hungarian folk, will give a concert at Los Angeles's Royce Hall, and the pianist András Schiff will perform in the Walt Disney Hall. Viktória Vizin will sing the title role in Bizet's Carmen at the Los Angeles opera house.
 
The Mimo Gallery in Palm Springs will present a retrospective of the Hungarian artist Tibor Jankay. The caricature artist Édua Szűcs will have exhibitions in San Diego and Los Angeles, while the painter Tünde Hegedűs's work will be exhibited in LA.
 
A collection of Hungarian artefacts by former US ambassador Nancy G. Brinker will be one of the highlights of the programme.
