Hungarian Director to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award

The festival, being held for the ninth time this year, will feature a retrospective of Mészáros?s films, including her famous ?diary? series, as well as those of Hungarian director István Szabó, who was an earlier recipient of the festival?s lifetime achievement award. An up-and-coming Hungarian director, Szabolcs Hajdu, will also be represented at the festival with a screening of his film ?White Palms?.
