E: UTSA was established under an initiative by General Secretary of the European Theatre Prize Alessandro Martinez in March. It aims to promote dialogue between members of new generations working in theatre and help the development of joint projects to create a culturally diverse and creative community for theatre professionals in the 21st century.
Its members include the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw, the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Krakow, the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich, the Theatre Academy in Malmö, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in Vilnius, the State Theatre Arts Academy in Saint Petersburg, the Silvio d'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome, the Iceland Academy of the Arts in Reykjavík, and the University of Theatre and Film in Budapest.
