Hungarian Embassy Brings Spiró Play to Washington

English

The play, about a couple who win the lottery but wait to think about their past and consider their future before cashing in the ticket, was directed by Péter Valló. Enikő Börcsök and Zoltán Schneider played the lucky winners.

Although Spiró is a very Hungarian playwright, Prah is about fear of change, which is a universal experience, said Hungarian ambassador to the United States Béla Szombati before the performance.

The play was performed, with English supertitles, at the Flashpoint Mead Theatre Lab.
