Hungarian Fauves To Tour France

Fauve Hongrois 1904-1914 will show in Céret, at the Musée d'Art Moderne from June 21 until October 12, 2008; at the Musée Matisse in Le Cateau-Cambrésis from October 25, 2008 until February 22, 2009; and in Dijon, at the Musée des Beaux-Arts, from March 3 until June 15, 2009. In Céret, the local museum will organise a parallel exhibition of works by the Hungarian József Rippl-Rónai who worked in Banyuls-sur-Mer and was a close friend of Aristide Maillol.

 
Among the artists whose works are represented in the exhibition are Róbert Berény, Béla Czóbel, Csaba Vilmos Perlrott and Sándor Ziffer.
 
The French publishers Adam Biró will put out a new French language catalogue if the exhibition.
