The jury selected the young director's film from 19 titles running in the prestigious festival's Un Certain Regard section.

"It was an easy job for us, since it is a very balanced, as well as touching film," said Alin Tasciyan, the head of the jury, presenting the award on Saturday.

Agnes Kocsis's second film is a story of an overweight hospital nurse discovering her identity when meeting her long-lost childhood friend Adrienne Pal again.
