Kardos, who not only directed the film, but wrote the screenplay and was the cinematographer, collected the FIPRESCI prize with producer András Muhi.
Kardos used a photo finish camera ? the kind used to determine the winner of close races ? to film Gravedigger. He used the same technique to make a short, Slitfilm, that was screened in Cannes in 2005.
