Hungarian films fetch record number of awards in Sarajevo

Kornel Mundruczo's fourth film, "The Tender Son: The Frankenstein Project" has received the special award given by the international jury headed by Romanian director Cristi Puiu.

The latest fiction movie "Bibliotheque Pascal" about sex trafficking in Central Europe by Szabolcs Hajdu won the prize of the CICAE international federation of art cinemas, as well as the award of the pan-European movie portal Cineuropa.

   
The film scripts of Arpad Bogdan's "The Necromancer" and Balint Kenyeres' "Hier" have also received the award of independent motion picture distributor Cinelink.
   
Hungary was represented at the region's most prestigious festival with a record number of four feature length films and four film scripts. The festival showed 200 productions and had American star Morgan Freeman as its guest of honour.
