Spies in the Dust Hole

Broadcast, Roland Vranik's second feature, will premiere in Sarajevo and compete against nine other films for the festival's main prize. The screening will be attended by Vranik, producer Gábor Kováts, editor Wanda Kiss, actors Károly Hajduk and Sándor Terhes, and production manager Judit Stalter.

The Hungarian director Benedek Fliegauf is on the jury that will assess the features.

Two Hungarian films will compete in the documentary section of the festival. Zsigmond Gábor Papp's film about secret agents called Spies in the Dust Hole won the best documentary award at Budapest Film Week, and Eszter Cseke's Fata Morgana, about the courtship of the only unwed girl in a village in Romania, won the main prize at last year's Aristotle Workshop.

Among the Hungarian short films to be shown in Sarajevo are Bálint Kenyeres's The History of Aviation, which competed in Cannes this year; Géza M. Tóth's Mama, featuring Orsolya Török-Illyés; and Pici Pápai's Confession, with Andor Lukáts and Orsi Tóth. An international jury will select from the 18 competitors a nominee for the European Film Academy Short Film award. The jury will include managing director of the Hungarian Film Union Éva Vezér.
