Benedek Fliegauf's art drama Dealer won the award for best film at the Al Este De Lima festival of Central and Eastern European cinema organised for the first time in the Peruvian capital last week. The feature length film describes the adventures of a drug-dealer tasked with taking quality cocaine to a leader of a spiritual sect.

Kornel Mundruczo's multi-award winning Delta received the Don Quixote Prize of the International Federation of Film Societies (FICC) at the festival focusing on Eastern European cinema. This festival closed over the weekend in Cottbus, Germany. The film is a family drama starring a brother and a sister and much of it takes place in the wetlands of the Danube delta in Romania.
