The performance offered a taste of the offering at this year's Saint Petersburg's Musical Olympus International Festival, to be held between May 25 and June 3. The concert included performances by musicians from Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Romania, as well as Hungary.
Festival director Irina Nikita said the Musical Olympus International Festival is a "parade of winners" because it features musicians who have received awards at various international competitions. The festival is supported by such world-acclaimed musicians as Claudio Abbado, Zubin Mehta, Montserrat Caballé, Placido Domingo and Daniel Barenboim.
