Hungarian Indigo Dyers Show Craft in London

Zsolt Gerencsér and Ildikó Tóth will present their craft at the invitation of the Hungarian Cultural Centre London and Hungarian tourism agency Magyar Turizmus.
 
Today eight workshops operate in Hungary and they use traditional patterns but also experiment with modern ones, according to the Hungarian Cultural Center. The only indigo dyeing museum in Central Eastern Europe can be found in Pápa, Hungary.
 
The Mayor?s Thames Festival draws about 750,000 people each year. Some 350 stands show crafts and offer food from countries around the world.
 
This year, festival-goers will be able to sample Hungarian cuisine at a stand run by London?s Hungarian Shop, operated by Miklós Dömsödi
