The Dicapo Opera Theatre's production of Tobias Picker's Emmeline is one of five productions in which the winners of the Mezzo contest will sing. The opera is directed by Róbert Alföldi, the director of Hungary's National Theatre.
Nyári said the trip to the United States was his sixth. He has also toured in Japan.
Nyári graduated from the drama department of Budapest's Theatre and Film Academy, but found a fondness and talent for opera. He has performed as a guest singer in roles at the Hungarian State Opera since 2005.
Nyári will perform in two of the Mezzo contest's five productions. In addition to Emmeline, he will sing in David Alagna's Las Day of a Condemned directed by Nadine Duffaut.
Emmeline will be shown in New York in September, and in Hungary on November 15-16 in the Szeged National Theatre.
