Hungarian National Philharmonic Plays in Bucharest

Our performance was a great success in a programme that included such renowned orchestras and performers as the Staatskapelle Berlin. conducted by Daniel Barenboim, and the Gulbekian Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Lawrence Foster, chief director of the National Philharmonic Géza Kovács said.
 
The National Philharmonic played another concert on the festival programme in Cluj Napoca, on September 12, and it will perform in Târgu Mures on Thursday before returning to Hungary.
 
The orchestra is performing Bartók?s Dance Suite and Piano Concert No. 2 with the Russian soloist Boris Berezovsky at the festival concerts. The concerts close with Enescu?s Symphony No. 2.
