The festival will start on July 8 with The Gypsy Princess. The role of Edwin will be played by Dániel Vadász and Silva Varescu by Alissa Zinovyeva. The performance directed by Csaba Tasnádi will be presented five times in July. The opera orchestra of Trieste will be conducted by Tamás Pál.
The choreography was prepared by Tamás Juronics and dancers of the Szeged Contemporary Ballet will appear on the stage. The costumes and the stage set were designed by Pasquale Grossi.
The other joint production is Ernst and Hubert Marischka?s operetta Sissi. Bori Keszei will appear in the title role in Trieste?s Miramare Castle on July 13. Sissi will be shown in Trieste five times.
The production will travel to the castle of Gödöllő, Sissi?s favourite home, near Budapest, on July 29 and 30.
Following the performances in Gödöllő, Sissi will be shown in the Achilleon villa in Korfu, once owned by the queen. The narrator of the Italian-language performance will be the actress Daniela Mazzucato and the Hungarian-language performances will be narrated by Anikó Felföldi.
Queen Elisabeth?s older sister, Ilona Wittelsbach, will be played by Krisztina Kónya, her husband will be played by Boldizsár László and Bavarian Prince Maxim by Lajos Geiger. The performance is directed by Sergio D?Osmo.
