The event, attended by about 300 people, was organised by the embassy, the Lebanese-Hungarian Friendship Society, the Society of Lebanese Graduating in Hungary, the municipality of Bchare and the Cedar Forest Friendship Society.
Speakers at the event spoke about Csontvary's art and the symbolic importance of his paintings.
On the sidelines of the event, foresters of Hungary and Lebanon agreed on joint efforts to protect the 1,000-year-old cedar wood that had also given inspiration to Csontvary.
