Hungarian Photographer Shows in Estonia

English

The exhibition in Narva will open on Thursday. Hegedűs took the black and white pictures in the show during regular trips to the region where the Csángó live between 2006 and 2009.

On Friday, an exhibition of two series of staged photographs that tell stories will open at the Hungarian Institute in Tallinn. Fictive Noir recreates the atmosphere of the black-and-white films of the 20s and The White Widows revisits a crime story in the style of the 1950s. Both of the series are characterized by black humour, according to Hegedűs.

The show in Narva and Tallinn can be seen until the end of January.
