Hungarian Photography Exhibitions Open in Finland

An exhibition of images by Brassai, Robert Capa, André Kertész, László Moholy-Nagy and Márton Munkácsi will open at the TR 1 Gallery in Tampere on Friday. On the same day, the nearby TR 54 Gallery will open an exhibition of work by contemporary Hungarian photographers, including Péter Zsolt Barta, Aliona Frankl, Tamás Dezső, Imre Drégely, Tivadar Domaniczky, Áron Sándor Károly, Lenke Szilágyi, Zoltán Vancsó, Zsolt Szamódy and Károly Minyó Szert.

 
Both of the galleries are located in Tampere's cultural quarter, at the site of a converted textile factory.
 
The Hungarian Institute in Helsinki will open an exhibition showing work by two young Hungarian photographers, Sári Ember and Géza Hernád. Ember's photographs show a company of friends. Hernád's show a psychiatric institution in Budapest that was recently shut down.
