Kovács, who has taught Wesser since he was four, said the youngster had already played a number of public concerts, most recently at the Debrecen Jazz Days.
Wesser and his teacher will travel to Toyama and six other cities in Japan with the Debrecen Performance Studio to show a production of The Little Match Girl.
The performers have promised to report on their trip when they return.
