Zoltán Kárpáti worked on his invention for eight years and registered a patent for its production and sale in 2007.
The inventor will launch a demonstration CD of the pickup?s special properties in a few weeks.
The bassist Csaba Pengő has used Kárpáti?s pickup since 2009 and has high praises for the device which he calls a ?condenser pickup that mixes the advantages of a piezzo pickup and a microphone?.
Kárpáti believes the pickup could revolutionise performances by violinists.
