The Hungarian Theatre of Cluj, Romania, brought Re-Birth (Visszaszületés), written by András Visky and directed by Gábor Tompa, to the festival. Budapest's Katona Theatre performed The Ivanovs' Christmas, written by A. I. Vvedenskiy and directed by Péter Gothár.
The Katona Theatre returned to the festival, having brought three productions in earlier years.
