Hungarian Wins Oska Bright Prize

"It's great to see how interesting life is for a person with a learning disability in a small village in Hungary," the awards committee said. "He has a charming, funny personality and this comes across in the film."
 
 
Kerecsendy studied filmmaking in the Change of Perspective training programme at the Not-for-Profit Media Centre Foundation. His film 35 km won the audience award at the Change of Perspective Festival in 2008.
 
Kerecsendy and two of his peers shot a film about the Oska Bright Film Festival that will be shown at the Other Point of View Film Festival on December 12.
 
The Oska Bright film festival was launched in 2003. It takes place every other year.
