Hungarian Writer to Read at European Literary Evening in London

The European Liteary Evening, in its fourth year, is held at the same time in twenty cities in Europe and Asia.
 
Szécsi will be one of eight writers to read at the event in the British Library, which includes a question and answer session.
 
The book was picked from more than 50 for the reading, said Gyöngyi Végh of the Hungarian Institute in London.
 
The Finno-Ugrian Vampire, published in Hungary in 2002, is being translated into English by Peter Sherwood, a linguist, writer and translator who teaches Hungarian language and literature in the UK. It will be published by Stork Press in October.
 
Marion Boyars Publishers have recently purchased the North American distribution rights and plans to publish the book in the United States in May 2013.
 
Szécsi?s second novel is called The Communist Monte Cristo.
