Both groups play a fusion of world music, and both were formed by street musicians, said Hungarian cultural attaché in Madrid Tamás Végvári.

Club Era, from Esztergom, mixes Hungarian folk songs with music from the Balkans and as far away as Australia. The band has played in Slovakia, France, Germany, Poland and Austria, as well as in Hungary. They released their first album, This House is Too Small for Me..., in 2008.

Cingaro Drom's members are from Spain, Portugal, Serbia and Hungary. They play mostly Balkan Gypsy music on brass instruments.

The concerts have been organised with the assistance of the Hungarian embassy in Madrid and the Ministry of Education and Culture's PANKK programme, Végvári said.
