The awards went to Budapest Festival Centre director Zsófia Zimányi, whose efforts have put Hungarian culture on display as elegantly as never before; director of the Filharmónia Budapest György Igric, who has worked closely with the French embassy to bring French musicians to Hungary; and director of Budapest Gallery Attila Zsigmond, who served on a committee to place a bust of the French photo-journalist Jean-Pierre Pedrazzni, who was shot during the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, in the capital, and who also assisted with the Hungarian Cultural Season in France in 2001.
