Among the award winters were Mari Alföldy, who has translated the works of many Hungarian authors, including Nobel Prize-winner Imre Kertész, into Dutch.
An award went to Karmel International Foundation chairman Johannes Hoogeveen together with his wife, who have "aided numerous Hungarian and Transylvanian institutions including schools, hospitals and homes for the elderly, as well as families in need, over nearly three decades' of selfless and conscientious activity."
Tivadar János Udvarhelyi
, who founded and heads the Netherlands-based Szent István Foundation founder, was recognised for "more than 10 years' of charitable work serving the well-being of disadvantaged children and families."
The awards ceremony took place at the Hungarian embassy.
