Péter Deme, PR director for Hungary's Office for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, said denkmal invited Hungary in 2006 to be the guest of honour at the 2008 event. The country will have the chance to exhibit at two stands with a combined area of 300 square metres.
Lange said the organisers were looking forward to seeing Hungary's restoration activities as well as steps it is taking to protect monuments in its exhibit.
In addition to Hungary, exhibitors from France, Italy, Russia and Poland will participate at the fair.
The German state of Hessen will be the partner state at this year's denkmal.
An international jury will award golden denkmal golden prizes in ten categories in recognition of outstanding achievements in the area of monument protection.
