The two ministers agreed to set up a joint committee to oversee preparations for the application by 30 October 2006. The application will be submitted by 1 February 2007. The World Heritage Committee is expected to take a decision about the joint application at its annual meeting in 2008.
The fort is comprised of six buildings on both sides of the Danube, which runs along Hungary?s border with Slovakia at Komárom.
