Gauri Shankar Gupta, India?s Ambassador to Hungary, will speak at the opening of the centre. Afterward, the cultural centre?s director Zoltán Leveles, will carry out a traditional puja religious ritual. The programme will continue with a performance by the guitar and sitar duo of Szabolcs Tóth and Szabolcs Fülöp and demonstrations of traditional Indian dance by Réka Túri Vírágh, Dóra Bittner Meenakshi and the centre?s director.
In addition to dance workshops, the Bharata will offer concerts, yoga courses and classes in Ayurvedic massage, said press chief Györgyi Barna. At the weekends, the centre will have Indian bazaars and programmes for children, she added.
A vegetarian bistro will operate in the centre.
