It is the sixth time Fischer, a Kossuth prize winner, has been invited to perform with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, based in Tel-Aviv.
Fischer last guest conducted at a performance of Mozart?s Cosi fan tutte for the close of the Glyndebourne Opera Festival in London?s Royal Albert Hall on July 18. The performance of the opera was the last of 17 Fischer conducted.
