Florez will sing arias by the likes of Rossini, Donizetti and Bellini accompanied by the Failoni Orchestra under the baton of Alessandro Vitelio.
Florez was born in Lima in Peru in 1973. He studied at the National Conservatory and later at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia. His breakthrough performance was in Pesaro in Italy in 1996, and at age 23 he was already singing at La Scala. Since then, he has appeared at the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden and the Vienna Staatsoper as well as in concert halls in Paris, Munich, Berlin, Barcelona, Madrid, Chicago and Los Angeles.
