Bogyay and Powell discussed cultural cooperation agreement between Hungary and the United States, the Fulbright Program of educational grants and other issues.
Bogyay and her delegation also assessed the prospects of organising a Hungarian Cultural Season in the United States for 2009. A number of prominent American cultural personalities backed the idea, including Earl Powell, National Gallery of Art director, Milena Kalinovska, Hirshhorn Museum programme director, Tany L. Chauveaux, National Endowment for the Arts deputy chair, Cyrus Katzen, Katzen Center founder, Cornelius Kerwin, president of American University, and Jack Rasmussen, Katzen Center director.
