Te Kanawa will sing a recital of works by Mozart, Richard Strauss, Poulenc and Puccini.
Te Kanawa, who was born in New Zealand, made a stellar rise to fame after a performance in the Marriage of Figaro in London's Convent Garden in 1971.
"I couldn't believe my ears," conductor Colin Davis said of the performance.
Afterward, she became one of the most sought after singers in the history of opera, performing with companies around the world.
Te Kanawa retired from opera singing in 1996 to focus on giving recitals.
Te Kanawa will be accompanied by the pianist and conductor Julian Reynolds.
