LOW to Close With Performance of Telemann

Ton Koopman, was a Baroque specialist already as a student at the academy of music, graduating from the piano, harpsichord and musicology departments. His career, which spans 45 years, has included performances, as a musician and conductor, in some of the world's most renowned concert halls as well as the publication of volumes of Baroque sheet music. He set up the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra in 1979, at the age of 35. Thirteen years later, Koopman established the Amsterdam Baroque Choir.
 
The Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and Choir have been awarded prizes for performances of Bach's Cantatas, Biber's Requiem for 15 Voices and the Vesperasa for 32 Voices.
 
On March 12, the orchestra will perform Telemann's The Ode of Thunder and The Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus.
