"Hungarian creative artists produce their own individual productions, by following their imagination, creative inspiration, and talent," according to the Madách Theatre?s home page.
The musical, directed by Tamás Szirtes, will feature three casts, with János Gálvölgyi, Péter Haumann and Béla Szerednyey in the lead role.
Brooks received an Academy Award for the screenplay of the 1967 film version of ?The Producers?. Thirty years later, Brooks adapted the screenplay for stage, and the musical became an award-winning Broadway hit in 2001. In 2004, the show opened in London?s West End.
The Madách Theatre?s production of ?The Producers?, which tells the story of a pair of men who bet a show business flop may be more profitable than a hit, will have an all-star cast including Róbert Alföldi and Enikő Détár, as well as young talents such as Szonja Oroszlán, Nikolett Gallusz, and Sándor Nagy.
