Both bands play electronic music, but Compact Disco sings in English and Larry Hangman in Hungarian.
Compact Disco was founded by Gábor Pál, earlier of Toy Division and Brownfield, Behnam "Begi" Lotfi, one half of Collins and Behnam, and Csaba Walkó of Megasztár and Brownfield. Their debut album Stereoid, released in November, offers intelligent electronic pop.
In Larry Hangman, the musicians Dusán Kanász and Bálint Tisch mix Hungarian alternative traditions with indie and electronic music.
