Deputy chair of the society, painter András Breznay said that around 50 works will go on display at the two-storey gallery in central Amsterdam.

The exhibitors will include Miklós János Kádár, who will display mixed-media works on photographic prints, and Tamás Galambos, who will show three paintings of owls against yellow, blue and red backgrounds, to be placed in the large gallery windows, Breznay said.

Several members of the Breznay family will be featured, including András, with a painting of the train station in Milan, and Pál Breznay, with paintings of Budapest spas and the Louvre in Paris. Sculptor László Mátyássy will present an installation.

Cultural attaché at the Hungarian embassy in The Hague Balázs Géczy will open the exhibition.

Another featured painter, Gyula Somos from Cegléd, organised the exhibition for the Mednyánszky Society. Somos lived in Amsterdam for ten years and regularly returns to lecture at an art college.
