Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, the great Hungarian Gypsy Jazz musician and composer, has written the music for the A Midsummer Night's Dream and the prolific singer-songwriter Péter Müller Sziámi has written the libretto.
The music for the piece is an eclectic mix of rap, pop, Gypsy, folk and popular music.
A Midsummer Night's Dream features Kata Janza, Szilveszter P. Szabó, Attila Dolhai, Zoltán Bereczki, Bernadett Vágó, Tamás Földes, Ottília Csengeri, Anna Peller, Nikolett Füredi, Zsuzsi Vágó, Dávid Szabó, Zsolt Homonnay, Máté Miklós Kerényi, Attila Németh, Károly Peller, Ádám Bálint, László Szerényi, László Sánta, András Faragó, Gábor Szabó Dézsy and Sándor György-Rózsa.
The musical will be performed in full at the Szeged Open-Air Festival in July.
