The young Hungarian director accepted the award personally in the Russian capital at the end of October.
Milky Way debuted at the International Film Festival Locarno, taking a Golden Leopard, the main prize in the Contemporary Filmmakers section. The film has also been shown at festivals in Athens, Warsaw, Bergen, London and Vienna. In November, it will compete at the Stockholm International Film Festival.
Fliegauf has attracted much attention in the filmmaking world for his films Forest (Rengeteg) and Dealer. Industry journal Screen International recently published an interview with him in its People section.
