Inspired by the success of the recently built Sándor Korda Studio in Etyek, on the outskirts of the capital, US investors plan to build three studios in Mogyoród in the spring, HavariaPress reports. The site could be expanded with a further four studios later.
In Pécs, Greenhill Filmstudio, headed by Hungarian director Tamás Sas, plans a HUF 2 billion film studios and media centre at the site of an abandoned coal mine. Part of the cost of the studio will come from European Union funding.
