This year's festival will start and finish at the Palace of Arts (MUPA). Concerts will also be hosted by the Trafó House of Contemporary Arts, Pinceszínház, the Budapest Jazz Club and four cafes and restaurants along Ráday Street.
The Lars Danielsson Quartet will launch the festival in the Bartók Béla National Concert Hall in the Palace of Arts. The quartet's namesake, who plays bass and cello, will perform with pianist Leszek Mozdzer, guitarist John Parricelli and drummer Magnus Öström. After the break, the David Linx-Diederik Wissels Quartet will play with the singer Gábor Winand.
The Hungarian guitarist Gábor Gadó, who lives in Paris, will perform with saxophonist Alban Darche and bassist Sébastian Boisseau at the Pinceszínház on three nights from September 10.
Baltic jazz is in the spotlight at this year's festival, and the Trafó will provide the venue for a performance by the Saga Quartet, from Lithuania, on September 11.
On September 12, the Hungarian saxophonist Viktor Tóth will play with the American bassist Henry Franklin and Swedish drummer Robert Ikiz.
The closing concert will start with a jam by the Italian pianist Rita Marcotulli and Hungarian pianist Béla Lakatos Szakcsi. After the break, the MKMB Quartet, featuring Christophe Marguet, Christophe Monniot and Sébastien Boisseau from France, as well as Joachim Kühn from Germany, will play.
