The Dominican Courtyard at the Hilton Hotel will host chamber music performances, orchestra concerts will take place in the square in front of Saint Stephen's Basilica and operas will be performed at the Hungarian State Opera.
On the line-up are performances by the Budapest Klezmer Band, the Budapest Ragtime Band and the Hundred-Member Gypsy Orchestra's chamber ensemble. The flamenco dancer Andrea Lippai will perform and András Almási-Tóth will conduct Händel's Rinaldo performed by an ensemble of his former students.
The works of Zoltán Kodály will be in the spotlight at four concerts organised by V.I.P. Arts Management. The concerts will feature the Debrecen Symphony Orchestra, the Liszt-Wagner Symphony Orchestra and the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra.
The festival will kick off with a performance by the Miskolc Symphony Orchestra. On the programme will be works by Kodály, Imre Kálmán and George Gershwin. Later, Debrecen's Csokonai Theatre will peform Verdi's La forza del destino, directed by Attila Vidnyánszky and Bizet's Carmen will be performed by the Kolozsvár Hungarian Opera. The Hungarian State Opera will perform Puccini's Madame Butterfly.
