The show will air three times a week, with a different host on each day. Pop star Ákos will host on Mondays, journalist and host of the popular television show TotalCar Róbert Winkler will take over on Wednesdays and pop icon Zsolt Erdélyi, a.k.a. Superman, will host on Fridays.
MTV Hungary was launched on October 1. It is showing programmes produced by MTV International, such as Pimp My Ride, Viva La Bam and South Park, as well as original material, such as SWUNG.
"MTV Hungary will not target just anybody, because there are plenty of such broadcasters around. This channel addresses progressive and trend-aware youth," says director Levente B. Málnay.
MTV Hungary will show mainly rock, indie and electronic music videos, but other genres will be considered if they are compatible with MTV's philosophy and high standards.
