Művész Shows Week of Slovenian Films

English

The week of screenings aims to introduce more Hungarians to Slovenian filmmaking.

Among the films being shown is ?Delo osvobaja? (Work Means Freedom), directed by Damjan Kozole. The film provides a commentary on the difficulties of life in the post-communist East Bloc with the story of a middle-aged man who loses his job at the local factory.

?Dobro ustimani mrtvaci? (Well-Tempered Corpses), directed by Benjamin Filipović, shows ? with ample black humour ? how life has normalized in Bosnia-Herzegovina after the war.

?Rusevine? (Ruins), directed by Janez Burger, takes place in the world of theatre ? full of excitement and intrigue, a place where it is difficult to see what is true emotion or just performance.

At the centre of Jan Cvitković?s ?Od groba do groba? (From Grave to Grave) is a sensitive and intelligent deliverer of eulogies.

The last film of the week, Mitja Novljan?s ?Norega se metek ogne? (Bullets Miss the Fool), is a sexy comedy-cum-thriller.
