National Fund Brings Hungarian Films to Berlin

Magyar Filmunió, the International Division of the Hungarian National Film Fund (MNF), will open the Hungarian stand at this year?s EFM on February 9. The fund is providing full representation of the Hungarian films there, including sales and festival promotion.
 
MNF will show for the first time to international buyers The Exam, directed by Péter Bergendy, and the animator Marcell Jankovics?s monumental work The Tragedy of Man.

?Considering preliminary feedbacks from professionals, both tiles are likely to gain great international interest. It will be the first time that,? Magyar FIlmunió says.
 
Among the other films the fund will bring to Berlin are popular features by young directors such as Fresh Air, White Palms and Dealer. It will also offer post-production titles such as the 3D version of the animated feature The District! and the comedy Couch Surf.
 
The Hungarian director Benedek Fliegauf?s new film Just The Wind is on the competition programme of this year?s Berlinale.
