The exhibition will be the first one in the region to offer visitors a comprehensive look at the Nagybánya school. It will include works from Nagybánya school first-generation artists Simon Hollósy, Károly Ferenczy, István Réti, János Thorma, Oszkár Glatz, and Iványi Grünwald. It will focus on works by Sándor Ziffer as a representative of the school's younger generation.
Two-thirds of the paintings selected for the exhibition have recently been on loan to museums in Florence, Paris, Krakow and Vienna.
The exhibition in Miercurea Ciuc will run from May 8 until July 18.
