The orchestra will play in Cluj Napoca on September 12, in Targu Mures on September 15 and in Bucharest on September 14, said orchestra press chief Julianna Bukta. The orchestra will play Bartók?s Dance Suite and Piano Concert No. 2 with the Russian soloist Boris Berezovsky. The concerts will close with Enescu?s Symphony No. 2.
Berezovsky, born in 1969, studied at the Moscow Conservatoire with Eliso Virsaladze. He peformed in London?s Wigmore Hall already in 1988. In 1990, he won the Gold Medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. Berezovsky works regularly as a soloist with orchestras such as the French National Philharmonic, the Royal Concertgebouw of the Netherlands and the New York Philharmonic.
