Revard studied at Oxford and Yale and spent much of his scholarly career at Washington University. His poetry is part of an anthology of contemporary American authors translated by Gábor Gyukics and published in Hungary by Open Workshop last year.
Revard, whose father was from the Osage tribe, was born on an Indian reservation in Oklahoma.
The reading at the Petőfi Literary Museum will be followed by a discussion, led by Gyukics, who will also interpret. The event has been organised with support of the U.S. Embassy in Budapest.
