English

Márta, the former director of the New Theatre, took over as managing director of Zsolnay Heritage Manager Nonprofit, which coordinates the activities of the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter, from February 1.

?As an artist, as a composer and as a director of different institutions, I have devoted by life to bringing quality programmes to audiences, regardless of whether they are children or pensioners? Márta said.

Márta said he wanted to open up the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter to the world, organising a top-notch programme that would draw at least 150,000 people a year. He added that he was counting on the cooperation of the Pécs University of Science?s Faculty of Arts as well as the city?s arts groups and civil organisations.

An important element of the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter?s opening will be events that are part of the Zsolnay Festival on weekends in April and May.
