The 180-page album, which features rich sepia photographs by Lajos Kalmár and text by István Sz. Koncz, is called Pécs Andante.
Among the images are the old mosque -- converted into a church after the Turkish occupation - in the evening light, and the shadows of passer-bys on the old tram tracks on Jókai Square, a memory of times when the city still had a tram line. The images are accompanied by texts that delve into the city's rich history. In one story, a young '56 revolutionary is cursed by non other than Molotov himself.
The English text in the book was translated by Mónika Dóla.
